Jessica Mitchell-Stoddard
For the past four years, I have worked with young people on the autism spectrum, first as an instructional specialist in a classroom setting then on a 1-to-1 basis with a DIR/Floortime focus. Before that, I worked with neurotypical children as a preschool teacher assistant/substitute teacher. I owe all of my success in my profession and my love for working with children to my mother, who has been the world's best preschool teacher and director for the past 25 years and who taught me everything she knows.
When I am off the clock, I am an avid reader, experimental writer, and self-proclaimed movie geek. I credit my love for the written word and all that can be created from it to my father, who is a very talented writer and who taught me at a very young age how to be...as well as the importance of being... a critical thinker.
I want to thank my family, including my wonderful husband, for their unconditional love and support.
